本研究では、複数の評価項目に関する大小関係から治療効果を評価する際に、要約指標や効果指標が何を表しているかを因果推論の観点から整理し、推定方法とその性能を明らかにする。具体的には、予後因子による条件付き独立を考える場合のNet BenefitやWin Ratioに関する論点の整理、条件付き確率に関する回帰モデルを用いた効果指標の推定と性能評価、複数のアウトカムに生存時間アウトカムを含む場合への拡張を行う。

| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
予後因子を考慮するwin ratioに関する研究として、ロボット支援下根治的前立腺摘除術と高密度焦点式超音波療法を用いた前立腺癌標的局所療法の比較、治療効果の異質性が存在しうる新興感染症に対する治療の評価、の2つの研究を行った。
前立腺癌の研究ではプロペンシティスコアマッチングを利用して周辺win ratioの推定とサブグループでのwin ratioの推定を行い、新興感染症の研究では層別win ratioと周辺win ratioの推定を行った。これらの研究における実データの解析やシミュレーションデータの解析ではnon-collapsibilityの問題は観察されなかったが、限定された状況であることから、non-collapsibilityが生じる状況については解析的な検討を含め、さらなる研究が必要であると考えられる。
これら2つの研究については、論文投稿の段階になっており、2024年中の採択を目指している。

non collapsibilityに関する理論研究を進めるために、まずはハザード比に関する因果効果の研究を進める予定である。Fay MP, Li F. Causal interpretation of the hazard ratio in randomized clinical trials. Clinical Trials 2024.が出版されたので、これらを基礎として研究を進めていく予定である。
