Outline of Research at the Start

Sand and dust storms emissions would increase by 3% during 2015-2100 under global warming scenarios based on their Earth System Model simulations. However, the morbidity and mortality rates due to mineral dust are still uncertain. We propose to (1) conduct regional meteorology-chemistry model and aerosol particle model simulations, (2) validate the simulations against transmission electronic microscopy (TEM); and (3) co-analyze the simulation results with the questionnaire of subjective symptoms.
