Outline of Research at the Start

神楽秘曲と人長舞の秘舞は宮廷音楽の奥秘として平安時代に成立して以来、幾多の存亡の機を乗り越え、現代も令和の大礼と神宮式年遷宮にて奏楽されている。他の宮廷音楽の秘曲は悉く散逸・途絶したが、なぜ秘蔵性と本義を保持し存続するという高いレジリエンスを保っているのか。
本研究では、神楽秘曲を「予期せぬ撹乱が起ころうとも必要な適応をしつつ機能し続けるシステム」と捉え、社会生態学的レジリエンス理論に依拠し、音楽文化の変容と継承の理論構築を試みる。具体的には、①室町後期と戦国時代の継承危機、②近世の継承の安定化、③明治維新と近代化、④敗戦の衝撃、にどのような戦略が講じられたのかを追跡し、継承原理を抽出する。
