Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、現代フランスの政治哲学者アバンスールの「ユートピア」論を対象とし、その政治哲学的意義を検討することを目的とするが、その際、アバンスールが博士論文から晩年に至るまで、一貫してユートピア論に取り組んでいることに分析の焦点を当てることとする。具体的には、ラ・ボエシとともに「なぜ人は自発的隷従に陥るのか」とつとに問うたアバンスールが、ユートピアを自身の政治哲学の基軸に据え、「蜂起するデモクラシー」という新たなラディカル・デモクラシーの構想へと結びつけるに至った思想形成過程を考察し、ユートピアとデモクラシーの結合という新たな理論的領野を切り開く。
