Outline of Research at the Start

I will study the challenges and positive impacts of using AI (Artificial Intelligence) in games to cultivate Entrepreneurial Skills (ES) in higher education from three perspectives, research, practice, and hands-on.The three main outputs of this project are a game, publications, and case studies explaining the challenges and positive impacts of using AI in games to cultivate ES.

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

Three main results 1) Progressing in three literature reviews, simulations for education, games for education and generative models current and potential uses. 2) Conducted interviews to Japanese early startup founders, one formatted as a teaching case and will be used as for the narrative components of the game prototype to develop at the end of the project. 3) Presentation in local conference APU conference 2023.

Current Status of Research Progress
Current Status of Research Progress

2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.

Reason

Large language models as a technology are generating many expectations. Therefore, it has facilitated the recruitment of interviewees and students to help gather data and get empirical information.
The university's support in managing the resources and regulations has been very helpful in smoothing the project's operations.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

End the literature reviews and produce publications.
Continue gathering empirical information in the form of interviews.
By the end of this fiscal year, start analyzing the empirical and academic information to initiate the work on the framework to design an AI-powered game to improve entrepreneurship skills. Prepare to participate in relevant conferences to share our research results. The delays on execution were in total not significant. The 400000 yen advance from 2024 was destined to be used for a trip and interview, which was canceled, but will be carried out this year.
