Outline of Research at the Start

初期太陽系の原始惑星系円盤における物質形成と進化を理解するには当時の情報を保存しているとされる始原的炭素質コンドライト物質の水質変成過程の詳細(水・岩石比、温度、流体の元素組成など)を理解する必要がある。
本研究の目的は、はやぶさ2リターンサンプルをはじめとする始原的炭素質コンドライト物質に特徴的にみられる水質変成の不均一性の要因を解明することである。水質変成前の非晶質ケイ酸塩ナノ粒子と結晶鉱物の混合率・混合サイズに着目し、水質変成実験を行うことで、それらの要素と水質変成の不均一性との関係性を明らかにする。

(水・岩石比、温度、流体の元素組成など)を理解する必要がある。
本研究の目的は、はやぶさ2リターンサンプルをはじめとする始原的炭素質コンドライト物質に特徴的にみられる水質変成の不均一性の要因を解明することである。水質変成前の非晶質ケイ酸塩ナノ粒子と結晶鉱物の混合率・混合サイズに着目し、水質変成実験を行うことで、それらの要素と水質変成の不均一性との関係性を明らかにする。従来の研究では水質変成の程度の不均一性を説明するためには異なる変成条件が必要とされてきたが、μmスケールの不均一性に対しては現実的ではない。これが解決できれば、均一な流体による水質変成でも不均一な組織が形成可能となるため、よりシンプルで現実的な水質変成モデルが構築可能となる。
今年度は昨年度確立した実験法を用いて実験を行い、生成物の試料調整や分析法の検討を行った。一連の手法がおおよそ最適化できたので、出発試料や水岩石比を変更して複数回の実験を行い生成物から実験条件と水質変成組織の関連性について考察した。それにより出発物質のMg/Sih比ごとに生成される組織が異なり、変質の進行による組織変化もそれぞれ異なることがわかった。また、あわせて本研究のテーマである始原的炭素質コンドライト物質について申請者も参加しているはやぶさ2分析チームより複数の論文が発表された。

今年度の目標であった分析手法の検討と複数の実験条件での生成物の比較を行うことができた。計画していた様々な実験条件のうちいくつかは手法的な困難性からまだ達成できていないが、基盤となるデータはこれまでの実験より取得することができた。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

現在得られている出発試料や水岩石比を変更した際の組織変化について、学会発表および論文執筆を行う予定である。他に実験条件についても引き続き実験手法の模索を行い、比較検討していく予定である。
