Outline of Research at the Start

A tough photonic hydrogel possessing a well-defined anisotropic hierarchical structure consisting of self-assembled nano-rigid lamellar bilayers alternatively stacked in hundred nanometers ductile hydrogel matrix is chosen as a model system. We will investigate the role of the anisotropic hierarchical structures on fatigue resistance.
