Outline of Research at the Start

Up until recent, “transgenerational memory” has been studied and proposed to be induced by many stress conditions, however, how day- length and temperature could individually, and combined to regulate subsequent development are not yet well-studied, which is a key of our proposed research. Since light and temperature are two of very important factors for plant growth and development, control of these factors could help us find the optimal and precise conditions to induce transgenerational memory via epigenetic regulations for favorable subsequent development in rice.
