Outline of Research at the Start

リンパ管侵襲陽性乳癌は予後不良であるが、リンパ管侵襲を標的とする治療はない。実臨床では腋窩郭清や放射線照射により予後改善を図るが、これらによる副作用であるリンパ浮腫は根本的な治療がなく、予後とQoL改善双方から新たな治療戦略が求められる。
最終目標：リンパ管侵襲陽性乳癌症例の予後改善。目的：1)癌細胞と腫瘍内リンパ管の相互作用を解明し、治療標的となるか明らかにする。2) 腫瘍内リンパ管、リンパ管新生が、正常組織内とどのように違うかを解明する。上記が達成されたら、発見した治療標的を起点として次段階の研究開発に移行し、癌細胞標的治療との複合により、リンパ管侵襲陽性症例に特化した治療戦略を立てる。
