Outline of Research at the Start

近赤外線領域の特定の波長の光を用いて周期的に脳細胞を刺激するフォトバイオモデュレーション（PBM）と呼ばれる方法を、日本人に対する初めての臨床研究として行う。偽刺激機器（見た目や動作は同一だが、刺激を行わない機器）を対照群として、実際の刺激機器群との無作為化比較試験を行う。PBMでは認知症や軽度認知障害の患者またはその介護者が機器を操作し、自宅で安全に施行することができると考えられており、その有効性（認知機能や日常生活動作への影響）について探索的に評価する。
