Outline of Research at the Start

非視覚型オプシンであるニューロプシン（OPN5）を発現するRGC（OPN5-RGC）の紫光受容による脈絡膜の制御における神経回路、投射先、神経核などの解明すべき課題が多く残っている。そこで、本研究では非視覚型オプシンによる脈絡膜の光応答を解明することを目的とする。OPN5の紫光受容による細胞内・細胞間シグナル伝達及び脈絡膜形態への作用とOPN5のの投射先と神経回路を解明していく。本研究により、非視覚型オプシンの脈絡膜制御の総合的理解を深め、眼疾患の新規治療法につながる基礎研究と知って応用することを期待する。
