Outline of Research at the Start	エーラス・ダンロス症候群は、皮膚過伸展や各種臓器の脆弱性を特徴とする遺伝性結合組織疾患である。顎顔面口腔領域においても、関節周囲結合組織の脆弱性に起因した顎関節の機能不全により、咀嚼、嚥下、発音、呼吸等の口腔機能が障害され、QOLの著しい低下をきたしている患者が多数存在すると推測されるが、その実態は不明である。本研究では、EDSの病型に加え、原因となる遺伝子変異情報や顎顔面口腔組織のデジタルデータを統合し、EDS患者の顎顔面口腔領域における病態を正しく理解した上で、エーラス・ダンロス症候群患者の口腔疾患の診断・予防・治療体系の確立を目指す。
