Outline of Research at the Start

The advanced particle methods will be employed to elucidate the porosity-formation mechanisms from (I) gaps among granules and (II) preexisting tiny pores inside granules in metal additive manufacturing. Then, new strategies will be explored to reduce and even eliminate porosity in fabricated parts.
