Outline of Research at the Start

近年、急速に増加している多剤耐性菌が、近い将来に多くの命を奪うことが予測されており、抗菌薬に依存しない治療法の開発が急務である。本研究では、緑膿菌を標的としてこの課題に取り組む。具体的には、mRNA医薬を用いて緑膿菌に対する抗体を肺組織で持続発現させる。その際、ネブライザー吸入による低侵襲かつ簡便な送達が望まれる。そこで、ネブライザーに最適化されたmRNA送達キャリアの開発を行い、感染動物を用いた実験でその有効性を実証する。
