Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は、Rプロセス核のような稀少放射性核(RI)の寿命測定において、従来の放射線検出器による計測ではなく、親核から娘核への核種変化を直接観測することで寿命を決定する新しい方法を提案する。このために蓄積リングを利用し、周回する稀少RIを非破壊検出できるショットキー検出器を開発する。これができればバックグラウンドなしに効率100%の寿命測定が可能である。新元素などの稀現象探索にも応用が期待される。また、蓄積リングに貯蔵されるRIは、価数を選択できるため、孤立系として核と少数電子系の相互作用を研究することができる。裸もしくは少数電子を纏うRIの寿命変化等、中性原子状態ではできなかった研究が可能になる。
