Outline of Research at the Start

人工知能(AI)技術の研究が非常にホットで注目されている。ただ、AIシステムの多くは現状ソフトウェア(ソフト)で構成されている。センサ信号のように、外部から得られた膨大な情報を、全てソフトに認識させその状態を検知させるには、計算機上の演算に膨大な消費電力が必要で、ソフトを介さない演算のハードウェア転換が求められる。本研究では人工知能デバイスの一種である物理リザバー素子をセンサとして用いることでセンサ・プロセッサ・メモリが一体となった高度なデバイスをナノ材料により実現する。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本年度はまずスポンジ状のCNT-PDMS複合体センサの耐久性と出力応答変化を見た。耐久試験により得られたセンサの出力応答は特に大きな変化はみられなかった。また、3か所を無作為に摘出し出力応答を確認した場合でも、特に大きな差異は見られなかったため、耐久性と安定性のあるセンサであり、様々な分野での使用が期待できる。耐久試験中の出力変化がほとんどない理由は、PDMSがCNTを覆うように形成されており、かつ多孔質でありかつ利点として挙げられる。またセンサと電極間の接触にも問題なく接着保持が可能であることも利点である。次に機械学習を用いた短期記憶特性もしらべた。主成分分析(PCA)と t 分布型確率的近傍埋め込み(t-SNE)を利用し解析した結果、両者ともにクラスタリングが形成されており、入力された信号がセンサのもつ非線形ダイナミクスを利用して同等の出力が得られていることが確認できた。

Reason

耐久性のあるセンサの作製と主成分分析による端物体認識がほぼ年度目標に沿っており、おおむね順調にステップを踏んでいると考えている。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

今後はスポンジセンサのどの位置をどの程度の強さで接触したかをセンサ信号から読み取る予定である。
