Outline of Research at the Start	植物細胞の主要なスフィンゴ脂質GIPCは、植物ステロールと相互作用して脂質ラフトを形成すると考えられてきた。しかし、GIPCの入手の困難さなどのため、GIPCと植物ステロールの相互作用に関する実験的な証拠に乏しい。そこで、有機合成と固体NMR等の物理化学的手法を用い、脂質膜環境でのGIPCの脂質鎖部位のふるまいを精密に解析する。有機合成を駆使して脂質鎖部位に重水素標識を施したGIPCプローブを作り、このプローブと植物ステロールの分子間相互作用を脂質膜環境下で固体NMRを使って精密に測定する。NMR信号を解析することで得られるセグメントごとの運動性情報から、植物に特有の脂質ラフトの描像にせまる。
