Outline of Research at the Start	これまで、時計遺伝子の転写・翻訳を介したフィードバックループが、個々の細胞レベルの概日リズムに必須であると考えられてきた。しかし申請者らは、概日時計が破綻していると考えられている、時計遺伝子Cryptochromeや、Bmal1を欠損したマウスの視交叉上核に、概日リズムが存在する事を見出している。そこで本研究では、１細胞レベルの機能計測と操作を行い、祖先型概日時計および、２４時間を規定する細胞間ネットワーク機構を明らかにし、哺乳類において時計遺伝子によらない概日時計システムの本体に迫る。
