Outline of Research at the Start

アルツハイマー病には多様な病態が存在し，臨床症状や経過に個人差が存在する。最近，グリア細胞が病態に関与することが明らかにされている。本研究は，新たに解明されたアルツハイマー病におけるグリア細胞病態に着目し，グリア細胞を起点とするアルツハイマー病に対する次世代型バイオマーカーを創生することを目的とする。アミロイドβ （Aβ）とタウを標的とした従来の古典的バイオマーカーとは一線を画したアプローチにより，未解決であったアルツハイマー病の不均一性の分子機序の解決を目指す。
