Outline of Research at the Start

「ヒト歯の再生」は、歯科領域における究極の再生医療の一つである。過去に研究グループは、ミニブタのエナメル上皮細胞の分離に成功し、さらにヒト歯髄由来の間葉系幹細胞の無血清培養技術の開発にも成功した。本研究は、次世代医療を約束するキメラ作製技術を応用し、ブタエナメル上皮細胞とヒト歯髄幹細胞を組み合わせた“キメラ”オルガノイドを作出し、ブタ―ヒト“キメラ”再生歯を形成することで、「ヒト歯の再生」に寄与する再生医療技術の開発を目指す。
