Outline of Research at the Start

バイオマス資源である貝殻を有効活用するため、焼成酸化カルシウム（Heated Scallop-shell Powders, HSPs）を作りだし、ウイルスや微生物の殺菌・不活化効果等を調べたところ、環境表面の除菌に利用できる可能性が示された。HSPsには脱脂作用がなく、塩素も含まれないことから、人体刺激や金属製品の錆び発生等の可能性は極めて低いと考えられる。そこで本研究では、HSPsによるマスク等の除菌、簡易プロテクト、消臭等の効果を調べ、その利用法の拡充を目指す。
