| Outline of Research at the Start |

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This collaborative research was grounded in the theory of composite states and composite monarchy, which provides essential framework for understanding the structure of early modern European states. Based on careful analysis of historical sources, the study analyzed two main aspects: first, the ways in which the Spanish Monarchy governed its diverse territories in Europe and overseas, including the Iberian Peninsula, the Italian states, and the American colonies; and second, how court society, the Catholic faith, and the Church functioned as mechanisms for integrating these territories within the composite state. The findings were disseminated through a series of academic articles and book chapters. In addition, we sought to place these insights into broader historical contexts by publishing introductory texts, overviews, and translations, thereby making the research accessible to both academic audiences and the general public. | Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
