Outline of Research at the Start |
The purpose of this research project is to link mother harassment to voluntary turnover and stress-related outcomes through work-family conflict and family-work conflict. Furthermore, this research focuses on the moderating effects of gender role orientation between mother harassment and work-family conflict/family-work conflict.
|
Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
I have collected time lagged data with three different surveys at three different points in time and started data analyses. The data was collected from working mothers with young children because these mothers experience the most stress in work and family domains. To date, data provides general support for hypotheses. More specifically, my statistical analyses with SPSS and STATA programs suggest that harassment at the workplace is positively related to working mothers impaired physical health and voluntary turnover. Furthermore, I published a paper in an academic journal that draws on gender role theory by suggesting that gender role orientations moderate the relationship between work family conflict and voluntary turnover among working mothers in Japan.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.
Reason
I finished data collection and started data analyses. I have also written a draft that will be presented in an international conference in August 2024.
|
Strategy for Future Research Activity |
I will continue to conduct data analyses and plan to finish the current draft and submit it to an academic journal in 2024. Furthermore, I will continue writing papers that will be presented in conferences and subsequently submitted to academic journals.
