Outline of Research at the Start

一般に「カオス」として知られる非双曲力学系の典型例である2次写像やエノン写像に加えて、数論・幾何学に由来するフックス群作用やタイヒミュラー測地流などの非コンパクト・非双曲力学系の大域構造を大偏差原理により精密に解析する。これに基づき、一般の非コンパクト・非双曲力学系の大偏差原理による理解に向けた理論基盤を構築する。

Outline of Final Research Achievements

We have established the large deviation principle for periodic points of several concrete low-dimensional chaotic dynamical systems that are non-uniformly hyperbolic or non-compact. We have performed a multifractal analysis for a broad class of dynamical systems that include the negative continue fraction expansion and the action of Fuchsian groups on hyperbolic surfaces. As a toy model that extract the essential difficulty of partially hyperbolic systems, we have introduced a `heterochaos baker map', and investigated the density of its periodic points with different unstable directions and analyzed the speed of decay of correlations.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本研究を通じて得られた種々の具体的な非双曲・非コンパクト力学系に関する結果を集積し統合、精密化することで、より一般の非双曲・非コンパクト力学系の大偏差・マルチフラクタル解析に道を拓くものと期待される。当初の計画になかったヘテロカオス・ベーカー写像の研究は予想外に進展し、部分双曲力学系の理解を推し進めることに貢献できると期待される。
