Outline of Research at the Start

暗黒物質の最有力候補の一つである弱電荷を持つ熱的暗黒物質について、その検証に関連する物理量(直接探査における暗黒物質と核子の散乱断面積、間接探査における近傍銀河の暗黒物質分布と暗黒物質の対消滅断面積、加速器探査における暗黒物質及び荷電SU(2)パートナー粒子のシグナル評価)を理論的に評価し、次世代大型実験の提案・計画に寄与する研究を行う。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

研究実績は以下の通りである。松本は、暗黒物質の媒介粒子に関する物理についての研究を発展させた。特に、媒介粒子が同じ量子数を持つ特定の標準模型粒子と縮退している際に、両者間の相互作用(と媒介粒子の質量の積)と縮退する粒子の崩壊幅の大小に応じて、媒介粒子の崩壊幅をどのように計算するべきかについて定量的に明らかにした。白井は、弱電荷を持つディラック粒子が暗黒物質のとき、非弾性散乱を用いた直接検出の可能性について研究し、探査領域を大幅に改善する解析手法を提案した。また、弱電荷暗黒物質には質量がわずかに大きいアイソスピンパートナーの崩壊率を精密に推定し、加速器物理探査の精度を向上させた。久野は、ベクトル粒子が暗黒物質である可能性の研究を行なった。複素ベクトル場は電気的に中性でも電磁場の多重極子能率を持ち得て、それを通して本場が暗黒物質である可能性を探れる。暗黒物質の質量がGeVスケールよりも軽い場合に着目し、天体活動からの制限を評価した。また、電弱相互作用をするベクトル粒子が暗黒物質である場合、ゾンマーフェルト効果を取り入れ熱的残存量の評価を行なっている。林は、暗黒物質の間接的検出実験において重要なターゲットとなる超低輝度矮小銀河(UFD)における暗黒物質分布推定を行い、複数のUFDで中心部ほど密度が高くなるカスプ構造を持つことを示唆した。すばる望遠鏡超広視野多天体分光器を想定した模擬データを、すばる超広視野カメラによる測光データを考慮し作成した。張ヶ谷は、弱電荷をもつ暗黒物質を予言する有力理論である超対称性理論についての研究を発展させた。強い相互作用のCP問題を解けるアクシオン理論を超対称化したときに、アクシオン場の初期宇宙での運動により粒子反粒子非対称性を生み出す理論を詳細に解析し、超対称性粒子の質量への制限を求め、その運動により生成される重力波のスペクトラムを計算した。

Reason

現在までの進捗状況はおおむね順調に進展していると言える。本研究の主題は、弱電荷を持つ暗黒物質の理論的背景を探り、それを加速器探査、直接探査、間接探査において検証するための理論的な側面を進展させ、さらにそれらを他の暗黒物質候補にも応用することを目的とする。理論的な背景は、アノマリー伝達機構を用いた超対称模型等が知られていたが、今年度の研究でアクシオン場を超対称化させた理論やCP問題を解決する模型においても弱電荷を持つ暗黒物質が予言されることが明らかになった。また、それらの暗黒物質探査については、暗黒物質のアイソスピンパートナーの崩壊率の精密計算と加速器探査への影響、非弾性散乱を用いた暗黒物質の直接探査、電磁場の多重極子能率を用いた直接探査、暗黒物質探査の重要なターゲットである超低輝度矮小銀河の暗黒物質分布推定のアルゴリズムの改善等についての研究の成果があり、去年度までにも劣らず本研究の進展が続いている。また応用の観点では、媒介粒子を伴う軽いMeVスケールの暗黒物質が弱電荷を持つ暗黒物質と類似する性質を持つことを踏まえ、これまでの研究成果を用いて、媒介粒子の物理に関する理解の進展を得る等についての成果も得られている。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

今後の研究の推進方策は以下の通りである。松本は、弱電荷を持つ暗黒物質の研究の成果をまとめ、進展させた議論を他の暗黒物質候補に応用し更なる研究の発展について模索する。特に、軽い暗黒物質はしばしば軽い媒介粒子を予言するため、弱電荷を持つ暗黒物質と近い性質を持つ。この点に焦点を当て、軽い暗黒物質の現象論について進展させる計画である。白井は、加速器物理でのシグナルについて高精度な推定を行う。特に弱電荷をもつ暗黒物質は長寿命粒子や非常に低い運動量をもつ粒子を予言するが、これらのシグナルを用いた加速器における暗黒物質探査可能領域の拡大を目指す。また、弱電荷暗黒物質の量子効果を用いた加速器物理における暗黒物質の間接探索のための理論的計算も行う。久野は、電弱相互作用をするベクトル粒子が暗黒物質である場合のゾンマーフェルト効果を取り入れた熱的残存量の評価を完成させる。電弱相互作用をする暗黒物質が導く電子の電子双極子能率の高次効果を評価し、多くの模型で電子の電気双極子能率に感度があることも明らかにする。林は、生成したより現実の観測に近い模擬データを用いて銀河系ハロー星などのコンタミネーションを考慮した銀河系矮小銀河の動力学解析を行う。この解析から、来年に科学観測が始まるすばる超広視野多天体分光器による矮小銀河サーベイによって、暗黒物質分布とJ因子推定がどの程度改善するのかを定量的に評価する。張ヶ谷は、パリティ対称性により強い相互作用のCP問題を解く模型における弱電荷を持つ暗黒物質模型を研究する。熱的生成機構における暗黒物質の質量およびパリティ対称性の破れのスケールへの制限を求め、直接探査、間接探査、および加速器実験で探れるパラメータ領域を明らかにする。本模型を大統一理論に埋め込んだ時の陽子の崩壊率やニュートリノパラメータへの予言も求める。
