本研究課題では、脳波・視線同時計測実験を通して周辺視野における言語処理メカニズムを多角的に 検討し、言語処理のアーキテクチャを明らかにする。

| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
心理言語学では、文が左から右へと系列的に処理されるという前提のもと、文中のそれぞれの語において統語情報や意味情報がどのような順序で処理されているのかについて多くの研究が行われてきたが、そもそもそのような前提は妥当ではない可能性がある。なぜなら、読解時の視線を計測した実験では、注視されている語に加えて、それに後続する語もある程度並列的に処理されていることを示唆する結果が報告されているからである。ところが、 現時点で具体的にどのような情報が並列的に処理され得るのかは明らかになっていない。本研究課題では、脳波・視線同時計測実験を通して周辺視野における言語処理メカニズムを多角的に検討し、言語処理のアーキテクチャを明らかにする。

実験室で発生した漏水事故の影響で前年度に引き続き脳波計とシールドルームが使えなかったため。

年度末にシールドルームの性能検査、新しい脳波計の購入をすることができたため、計画していた実験を今後実施していく。
