国内外の日本語学習者の目的に合った教育内容・教育方法開発を目標として、CEFRに基づき、「話者」「場所」「場面」「はたらき」の情報に よって文脈化された発話・会話を収集・データベース化する。同時に、母語話者、非母語話者に、目標1で収集したデータの日本語らしさとわ かりやすさが理論化できるかを検証する。成果物として、特定の教科書に準拠しない汎用性のある、文型から離れた機能性の観点からのオンライン教材開発を行う。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We created Can-Do for the A1 level of the European Framework of Reference for Languages, and developed and released a renewed version of "Japanese Avenue." Using the JF Standards developed by the Japan Foundation as a reference, we redefined the speaking situations that international students are likely to encounter for the A1 level Can-Do, and created new standards based on a survey of international students, which we incorporated into "Nihongo Avenue." The system allows Japanese language learners who have never been to Japan to understand the current situation in Japan, and is also suitable for learners who live in environments where there are not many Japanese speakers. As a linguistic theory for this purpose, it is based on politeness theory and shows what vocabulary, linguistic expressions, and grammatical forms are used in a way that is distinct from Japanese language.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
CEFRの理念を具体的に教室活動として解決するために、日本で留学生活を送る日本語使用者を対象としたA1レベルのCan-Doに基づく話例と、誰でも投稿できるプロダクトを作成した。本プロダクトを通じて、教科書など正しい日本語という制約を離れ、発話意図に基づきどのように発話すればいいかを自律的に学べ、従来の教科書に則ったシラバスや、学習者の学習過程を見直すことが可能となる。さらに、日本に留学しなくとも、Can-Doリストを通じ日本での留学生活を言語的に体感できるものであり、スムーズな留学生活支援となる。
