| Outline of Research at the Start |
研究計画最終年度となるため、各自の調査よりもこれまでの研究結果をもとにした共同研究としての成果に結びつけることが今期の課題である。そのために、共同分担者は、これまでに本研究経費で実施してきた成果のとりまとめと、それを全体のテーマに結びつけることが今年度の主たる研究内容である。鍵概念である「地域内発力」について、これまでの研究によってその範囲をより広く理解することで、今日の日本の地域における多様な活動を捉えることができるのではないかということも提案されており、中川が協力者（西野寿章）の協力を得て概念的な再検討を行い、統括を行うことになると考えている。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The co-researchers were able to conduct their individual investigations on the structural understanding necessary to comprehend the foundation that enables the realization of regional endogenous forces as intended in this research project. This included grasping the positioning of the target region within a broader systemic framework and pursuing the possibility of an integrated understanding, incorporating an evaluation from the perspective of sustainability. However, particularly in the early stages, the COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact, making it difficult to engage in sufficient collaborative discussions. As a result, the project concluded without fully synthesizing the findings from each researcher. Although the research period has ended, moving forward, a few members, led by the principal investigator, will continue efforts to integrate and theorize the findings.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
地域内発力を鍵概念として多様なフィールドで調査研究を行ってきた分担者らが一堂に会し共同作業を行おうとした。地理学は本来、対象に限定されず総合的な議論がなされる点に独自性や優位性を持つ分野である。しかし、近年は、都市と農村のような基礎的な概念でさえ領域分断の様相を呈する局面がみられる。むしろ都市と農村の新たな関係が模索されている現状を踏まえ、本研究では農山村や農林業分野と疲弊する地方都市や観光のありかたを統合的アプローチによって探求することを試みた。縮小しつつ地域連携の指向性が強まる実態に対して、地理学分野が総合性を回復することで有効な視座を提示する途につながることが期待される研究となった。
