Outline of Research at the Start

アルツハイマー病（AD）モデルマウスを用いた検討において、ロスマリン酸（RA）摂食による抗AD効果と呼応し血中および脳内で発現が上昇するmicroRNA（miRNA）を見出した。ウエブ解析ツールにより炎症に関与するMAPK経路上の複数の遺伝子をターゲットとすることが示唆されたため、マウス神経芽細胞腫およびミクログリア細胞株を用いて脳内炎症に与える影響を明らかにする。共同研究先の金沢大学において実施された軽度AD患者対象RA介入試験では24週間のRA摂取で患者の行動・心理症状が改善されたため、患者血漿中miRNAを網羅的に解析し、変動miRNAの機能を明らかにする。
