SNSの普及などメディアが多様化に伴い，フェイクを含む科学ニュースがこれまでにないスピードで拡散している。更に，コロナ禍のような非常事態下では読み手の科学認識も影響する。科学ニュースを正しく読み解くには，科学者や科学者集団から発信された情報の経路とその信頼性だけに注視するだけでなく，科学とは何かを含む理論とそれに裏付けられた思考・判断が必要になる。そこで本研究は，科学の生産と消費を融合させた科学メディアリテラシー育成モデルを構築する。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We have developed a model for fostering science media literacy (SML) that integrates the production and consumption of scientific claims.① We organized research fields related to SML education in relation to NOS (the nature of science). ② We clarified the necessary requirements for critically analyzing and evaluating science news. ③ We developed case method materials for interpreting fake news about science based on examples from the COVID-19 pandemic and scientific history, and constructed a model curriculum. ④ We developed materials to address fake news on social media, implemented them, and evaluated their effectiveness.

本研究は、多様なメディアにある科学ニュースの科学的主張を正しく読み解くための手法と知識を理解することを目的とした。理論を整理するだけでなく、複数の教材を開発し、その効果を明らかにしたことは社会的意義がある。一部の教材はインターネット上で公開され、自由に利用することができる。
