Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では,中国砂漠域,中国東部沿岸域,九州西岸において採集される黄砂試料の化学組成と微生物群集を分析し,広域に拡散する黄砂粒子の内部混合の変化を解析する。さらに,地上観測で得られた地上付近及び上空に漂っている黄砂粒子の放射特性と雲の衛星観測で得られた黄砂が影響した雲の放射特性を合わせて解析することにより,東アジア広域における黄砂の化学的・生物的組成の変化がその直接効果と間接効果に及ぼす影響を定性的・定量的に解明する.

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

令和5年度の研究実施計画に従って、春季と秋季のテンゲル砂漠、中国東部沿岸域、そして九州西岸の連携調査を実施した。同じ期間中にサンプルを採取し、エアロゾル粒子の光学的特性について初めてのデータを取得した。また、予定通りにデータ解析を進め、国内外の学会や専門雑誌で積極的に研究成果を発表した。2024年2月22日に研究組織メンバーの合同研究会議を開催し、これまでに得られたデータを検討し、今後の研究計画の推進について議論した。
研究成果:①九州西岸に飛来した黄砂粒子の変質は、黄砂プルームの移動速度によって大きく異なる。移動が遅い場合は、移動が速い場合に比べて黄砂粒子の変質が大きく、また大量の人為的な大気汚染物質が黄砂プルームに取り込まれている。②中国北西部の砂漠から排出され、偏西風によって広域に拡散している黄砂粒子中には、太陽光を強く吸収するブラックカーボンはあまり含まれておらず、吸収性が弱いブラウンカーボンが一定量含まれていることを発見した。③黄砂が九州西岸に飛来する際に、浮遊粒子状物質中のバイオ物質が増加していることを確認しました。④地球規模のダスト拡散が、リモート地域の降雨と雲にも影響を与えていることを発見した。

Current Status of Research Progress

3: Progress in research has been slightly delayed.

Reason

新型コロナウイルス感染症の収束により、中国北西部の砂漠、中国東部沿岸域、および九州西岸での同時期の連携調査を実現した。また、黄砂粒子の光学特性に関するデータ解析は順調に進んでおり、ほぼ当初の計画通りに進行している。研究成果の発表も順調に進んでいる。ただし、令和3年度と4年度のデータが少なかったため、全体的には予定よりやや遅れている。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

令和6年度の春季連携観測は順調に実施された。今後は、これまでに取得したデータの解析とまとめに重点を置いて推進している。また、令和6年度の秋季には補足調査を実施し、サンプルの分析、データ解析、そして研究成果の発表をこれまで通り、組織メンバーや海外協力研究者との連携を積極的に行っていく。
令和7年3月末の時点では,新型コロナウイルス感染症による影響を取り戻す予定である.
