Outline of Research at the Start

液状化地盤内でパイピングが起こる現象の一つとして「噴砂」が挙げられるが,この現象を詳細に解析できる方法は開発されていない.本研究では,この「液状化パイピング」についての総合的な研究を実施する.泥水状となった間隙水の流動を考慮できる飽和土3相系モデルを発展させることにより,液状化の発生からパイピングに至る一連の現象を統一して表現できる理論の構築を行う.導出されたモデルのパラメータを決める要素実験方法を開発して実施し,さらに有限要素法および拡張有限要素法の汎用コードに本モデルを導入して,模型実験結果の再現を目指す.

Outline of Final Research Achievements

The goal of this study is to provide a unified approach to phenomena from debris flow to ground flow in which soil particles are transported in company with a fluid (particle flow). As a basic theory, we derived an equation of motion based on a three-phase model of saturated soil and investigated in detail how to model the internal erosion and express the degradation and recovery of stiffness. In order to implement the equation in a large deformation finite element method, we examined the stability of the solution in detail and applied a combined method of mesh-based and particle methods. In addition, we developed a method to measure viscosity during liquefaction in order to estimate model parameters. We also clarified the difference in the liquefaction strength obtained from triaxial tests and hollow-cylinder torsional tests. Furthermore, we conducted surveys of liquefaction sites caused by the Noto Peninsula earthquake and conducted the verification of the model.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本研究で得られた成果は,土粒子を含む流動現象の統一的理解と,それを実用的な数値解析手法へ展開するための重要な情報を提供するものである.特に,相変化モデルの構築,大変形解析手法への実装,モデルパラメータ推定手法の確立,そしてモデル実証のための実現象の把握という一連の研究成果は,今後の学術的検討の基盤となると考えられる.さらに,災害予測に応用されることで,災害軽減技術の高度化に貢献し,的確な防災対策に反映されることが期待される.
