Outline of Research at the Start

近年,世界的に自然災害の脅威が重大化し,特に破砕性土(特殊土)で構成される地盤や土構造物において大規模な崩壊事例が数多く報告されている.火山灰質粗粒土や風化残積土などの破砕性土は,特殊土として国際的にも問題土(Problematic Soil,Unusual soil)として取り扱われる.本研究では,最新装置による要素せん断実験に加え,三次元個別要素法による粉体シミュレーション(数値実験)や数値力学モデル(構成則)の開発,理論に基づく模型載荷実験の実施・検証を通して「砕性土の何が自然災害時に脆弱性を露呈する結果に繋がるか」を実験的・理論的に検討し明確化する.

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では,粒子破砕性や軽い土粒子密度,非塑性細粒分に代表される特殊な性質を有する破砕性土の災害脆弱性メカニズムの把握を行う. 2023年度は,研究3年目の中間年度であり,破砕性土として2022年度同様に軽石に着目した要素力学試験の他,火山質細粒土(ローム)に対しロームの特殊性の原因とされるアロフェンについて含有量に着目した力学試験を分担研究機関(宇都宮大)にて実施,特殊土の脆弱性について力学試験を基に検討を行っている. なお,2023年度は,2022年度に導入した単粒子破砕試験装置を用いて土粒子単体の破砕強度を把握し,中空ねじり試験による土の強度と合わせて破砕性土の挙動について検討を行っている.併せて2023年度は,2021年度と2022年度に力学特性の検討を行った試料(栃木県産赤玉土)を用いた模型盛土への降雨浸透実験を研究分担者が所属する鉄道総合技術研究所にて行い,降雨による崩壊挙動とその際の粒子破砕に関する検討を行った.2023年度に行った試験対象土は,前年度同様に研究担当機関が所在する地域に分布する火山灰質土を使用した他,2021年福島県沖地震時の崩壊土砂や,笠原諸島・北硫黄島付近にある海底火山起源の軽石,福島県産の風化残積土(まさ土)など,全国各地の特殊土を用いて試験を行った. 得られた室内試験結果を基に,数値解析モデルの構築を分担する研究分担者(横浜国大,鉄道総研)はそれぞれモデルの開発を進めているとともに,数値実験担当者(東北大)が3次元個別要素法を用いて,単粒子破砕試験による粒子単体の破砕挙動の再現,ならびに土単粒子の集合体である土のせん断試験挙動再現を進めた. 以上より得られた成果は,研究担当者が所属する地盤工学会や土木学会などの研究発表会やシンポジウム等で発表した.
