Outline of Research at the Start

間質反応活性化を特徴とする高悪性度大腸がんは、がん免疫療法に抵抗性である。今回申請者らは予備検討から、がん幹細胞が”don’t eat me”シグナル CD47を発現することでがんの免疫原性を低下させ、間質がそのリガンドであるTHBS1を高発現することで線維化による免疫細胞排除をきたす、可能性を考えた。本研究の目的は、この防御機構の阻害によりがん免疫療法抵抗性を克服する新規ストラテジーを構築することである。本研究により、高悪性度がんに対する、がん幹細胞・間質双方を標的とした新規治療法の開発に繋げる。
