Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では,光操作に基づくイメージングデータからの潜在ダイナミクス抽出を実現し,時空間型の光操作を実現する光遺伝学に基づいた数理モデリングとデータ駆動型推論の枠組みを融合することにより,行動操作や神経回路改変による回路機能操作への応用を行う.

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究計画の二年度に当たる令和4年度には,多次元状態制御とダイナミクス推定を同時に実現するためのデータ駆動型アルゴリズムの構築を行った.部分的に観測される計測データから,多次元の潜在変数が従う事後確率を推定するとともに,潜在変数の事後分布に基づいた精緻な動的制御を実現するアルゴリズムを構築した.構築したアルゴリズムを神経システムに適用し,部分的な観測時系列データに基づいた多次元状態制御と非線形ダイナミクス推定を同時に実現可能であることを示した.次に,神経システムにおいて,多数の非線形項の候補が存在する状況下で,部分的な観測データからその背後にある非線形ダイナミクスを推定するデータ駆動型アルゴリズムを構築した.逐次モンテカルロ法とスパースモデリングを融合するアルゴリズムを構成することにより,部分的な計測データのみが与えられた状況において,データに潜む重要な非線形項のみを抽出可能であることを示した.加えて,Flowベースの生成モデルに基づいた視覚画像の再構成を実現するための方法を構成することで,視覚画像の復元過程を陽に示すことが可能な深層学習アルゴリズムを構築した.加えて,多次元時系列データの背後にある動的システムをノンパラメトリック推定するための統計的機械学習アルゴリズムを構成し,多次元時系列データに基づいた非線形ダイナミクスのノンパラメトリック推定が可能であることを示した.これらの研究成果は関連研究者からの注目を受け,関連学会より注目学術論文への選定や優秀発表賞を受けた.
