| Outline of Research at the Start |
複数の近代帝国の相互影響関係を前景化し、その文脈に各々の植民地主義と反植民地主義を捉えて再考する「間-帝国史（trans-imperial history）」を、言語の壁を越えて史料の読解に基づいた実証史学の一分野として発展させていくにはどうすればよいか。本研究の目的は、誰もが参照可能なモデル事例および理論・方法論的な枠組みを提示することである。そのために、各メンバーが海外での文献調査を基にして英・仏・
蘭・独・米・日の帝国に関して実証研究を行い、それぞれの事例を有機的に連関させるべく相互に分析を行う。

メンバーが全員加入しているCenter for Transimperial History(CTH)を通して、以下の国際学術イベントを開催した：①‘Research Showcase Series: Shobana Shankar,‘Dravidian History: The Transimperial Journeys of a Linguistic, Political, and Racial Artefact'(7月9日)；② ‘Meet the Author Series: Chris Suh, “The Allure of Empire: American Encounters with Asians in the Age of Transpacific Expansion and Exclusion”（9月12日）; ③‘Special Lecture Series: Jude Lal Fernando, In Unexpected Ways: Interfaith Solidarity in the Face of Empire'（10月28日）;④‘Research Showcase Series,Giovanni Costenaro, European Trans-Imperial Corporate Cooperation in the French Colonies: The Eurafrican Illusion in Italy and West Germany, 1950-1960’(11月29日)
また、3月17日から18日の二日間にわたって、同志社大学において「公開ワークショップ： トランスインペリアル・ヒストリー : 植民地主義への新たな視座」を開催し、代表の水谷、分担者の役重、中尾、駒込が報告を行った。ワークシップの成果は2026年2月に学術書として刊行される予定である。
