実空間とサイバー空間の融合，すなわち「サイバーフィジカル融合」の進展は，地球規模の課題に対する国際社会の取り組みにいかなる変革をもたらしているのであろうか．本研究では，武力紛争や人道危機に対する国際社会，特に国連の対応に焦点をあて，この問題に取り組む．具体的には，紛争や人道危機が，実空間とサイバー空間の両面でいかに展開し，こうした展開に国際社会の主要な主体がいかに対応しているのかを，既存のデータソースに加え，SNSでの情報発信・伝達を分析することで体系的に明らかにする．さらに，SNS等の情報源活用に関する政策決定者の認識を把握するため，国連等でインタビュー調査も行う．

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This project addressed "Governance for Sustainable Peace in Cyber-Physical Space" using computational social science. Key outcomes include: analysis of UN Security Council discourse on threat perceptions (Int. Studies Quarterly); studies on the evolution of international cooperation networks (PLOS ONE); theoretical work on cooperation using mathematical models (PNAS, Sci. Reports); research on legal accountability in UN peace operations (Int. Peacekeeping); and comparative analysis of offline/online diplomacy (Frontiers in Big Data).
The project resulted in over 20 peer-reviewed articles in major international journals and book chapters. A significant large-scale dataset, "The UNSC Meetings and Speeches Dataset," was created and publicly released on Harvard Dataverse.
These contributions have advanced interdisciplinary research linking computational social science with international relations and peace studies.
