本研究は、経済発展の源泉となるイノベーションを起こす主体が、大企業における社内組織から、スタートアップや大学を中心として構成されるイノベーション・エコシステムに大きくシフトしている中で、イノベーション・エコシステムの中で重要な位置を占める大学発ベンチャーに焦点を当て、大学発ベンチャーを取り巻く様々なプレイヤーで構成されるエコシステムや大学が提供する支援や教育が、大学から生まれるスタートアップの創出や成長に与える影響を分析して、イノベーション促進のメカニズムを解析しようとするものである。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Through a literature review on entrepreneurial ecosystems, this study found that simply increasing the number of startups in a region does not lead to an increase in high-growth startups, and that the geographical unit of analysis is broad and not limited to ecosystems that create high-growth startups. A study measuring the effectiveness of an entrepreneurship education program found that taking online entrepreneurship education lectures also improved entrepreneurial competency, and that students' entrepreneurial behavior improved after taking entrepreneurship education classes through their implementation intention. These research results were also used in the process of creating entrepreneurship education guide initiated by MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology).

本研究は、経済発展の源泉となるイノベーションを起こす主体が、大企業からベンチャー企業や大学に大きくシフトしているとの前提に立ち、その中で重要な位置を占める大学発スタートアップが、その創出や成長の過程で様々なプレイヤーで構成されるエコシステムから受ける影響や大学による教育の影響を分析し、大学発スタートアップを起点としたイノベーション創出メカニズムを解析するものである。
経済発展を続けるためにはイノベーションによる新規産業創出が必要なことは論を待たず、大学発スタートアップによるイノベーション創出過程を解明することは、企業経営や経済産業政策のみならず広く社会に与えるインパクトは大きいものである。
