Outline of Research at the Start

放物型方程式などの時間発展を伴う方程式系に対し,動的的特異点(位置や強さが時間に依存する空間的特異点)を保持する解につ いては,最近になって研究が始まったばかりである.本研究では,各種の放物型偏微分方程式に対して動的特異性を保持する解の存在について 調べるとともに,拡散と動的特異性の相互作用によって生じる解構造を明らかにし,関連する諸分野への応用を図ることを目的とする.そのために,いくつかの具体例について動的特異点の解析を行い,統一的な視点から動的特異性を保持するためのメカニズムを明らかにする.

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

一次元非線形熱方程式において,移動する特異点の近傍で拡散効果が退化する場合について研究を進め,初期値問題の解の存在と一意性のための十分条件を明らかにし,解の性質についての研究を完成させた.また,特異進行波解 (特異性を保持したまま形状を変えずに一定速度で移動する解)の存在,形状およびその分類に関する研究を進めた.
べき乗型の吸収項をもつ非線形熱方程式に対し, 動的特異点を持つ解を考察した. 特に空間1次元において, 特異点の動きが1/2-ヘルダー連続あるいはそれより激しい場合の解の挙動を調べた. 特異点の周りでスケール変換を行った後の極限として得られる常微分方程式の解析を行うことで, 解の特異点周りでの漸近的振る舞いを特定した.
Sobolev優臨界な半線形熱方程式の解の爆発問題について,解の上限ノルムが有限時間で発散するとき臨界ノルムも爆発するか,という臨界ノルム爆発問題を肯定的に解決した.
除細動のように,カオスが起きるような反応拡散系に大きな摂動を加えると,安定な状態に戻ることが観察される.この状況を数学的に理解するために,カオスが起きるような複素Ginzburg-Landau方程式の解に大きな摂動を加えることで,必ず安定周期解に収束することを示した.また,等拡散でTuring不安定性が起きるような反応拡散系の例を構成した.
多次元整数格子の単純ランダムウォーク及びブラウン運動のlocal time(局所時間)、さらには軌跡のcapacity(容量)の長時間挙動に関する極限定理(大数の法則や大偏差原理)について結果を得た.またこれに関連して,異常拡散を伴う方程式系についての研究を開始した.

特に空間一次元の非線形熱方程式の特異解にについて,初期値問題の解の存在と一意性に関する基本的な問題が解決でき,解の形状,漸近挙動,全域解の 存在など定性理論的研究を完成させた.高次元空間の場合には特異性を保持する進行波解の分類と全体構造について大きな進展があり,関連する問題についても新しい方向性が示された.反応拡散方程式に対する自由境界問題に関する研究を完成させ,特異極限との関係についてその全容を解明し,大局的な構造の解析に対する道筋をつけた.確率解析との関連においてもいくつかの進展があり,分数ブラウン運動と偏微分方程式の関係についての理解が進んだ.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

高次元空間における非線形熱方程式について,特異性を保持する進行波解の存在とその性質の解明について進める.一般の反応拡散方程式に対しては,その特異極限である自由境界問題と関係をより詳細に明らかになったことから,より具体的な問題への応用についても考察を加える.確率解析との関連においては,特異点が分数ブラウン運動のように振る舞う場合に対し,ハースト指数と特異解の性質との関係を中心に解析を進める.またこれと関連して現れる異常拡散を伴う方程式系を定式化し,特にべき乗の非線形性と伴う場合について,各種の臨界指数が現れることを確認するとともに,藤田型方程式に対する結果の拡張を試みる.この他,吸収型の非線形校を持つ方程式の特異解の存在とその性質の完全な解明を目指す予定である.
