Outline of Research at the Start

量子重力と非重力量子系を対応づけるホログラフィー(AdS/CFT対応)は、対応がどんなペアでどこまで成立するか(成立限界)が不明である。そこで、非重力量子系のうち、重力的な双対記述を許す量子系と許さない量子系をより分ける方法はあるか?という問いを立て、「重力双対非存在検証プロトコル」を確立することを研究の目標とする。非重力量子系のデータ(演算子の期待値や相関関数、カオス、エンタングルメントエントロピー、計算複雑性等)から双対重力の時空メトリックを再構成し、重力的性質の無矛盾性を確認、更にそこから非重力量子系へ予言を行うことで、無矛盾性を確認する。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本年度は、引き続き、前年度に得た多様なAds/CFT対応の辞書の精査と、特に機械学習でバルク再構築を行う上での、対称性の見え方や、どの程度の量子系を機械学習で表しうるかの研究を行い、それぞれについて成果を得ている。機械学習での成果に関しては、それらの対称性や量子系への制限に関しての研究により、AdS/CFT対応でバルク再構築を機械学習で行う上での知見が得られている。また、簡易なフェルミオン系における知見をさらに発展させ、村田と橋本は、AdS/CFT対応に基づき、時空局在応答と呼ばれる現象を量子臨界点近傍の横磁場イジング模型で理論的に実証した。これはAdS時空での粒子伝播に対応し、ホログラフィック時空の実験的検出に繋がる可能性を示した。バルク再構築がどの程度できるのか、といった指標として、どのようなものを持ってくれば良いのかという疑問に答える研究である。これにより、非常に広いクラスの場の量子論が、バルク対応を一部持ちうるという結果になった。これは、当初期待していなかった成果である。
吉田は、補助場を入れた4D Chern-Simons理論を構築した。この理論を用いて、一般化されたTTbar変形を弦理論の文脈で構成できれば、バルク再構成のシナリオにおいても一般化されたTTbar変形を議論できる。
雇用研究員の古郡は、ホログラフィー対応では、漸近対称性がCFTの対称性と一致する事実が多くの場合重要である。漸近平坦時空の漸近対称性と密接に関わる「メモリー効果」を場の量子論の特殊な状態:ドレス状態から解析することを通してその理解を深めた。

Reason

本年度の研究により、AdS/CFT対応の限界を見るには、多様な指標をさらに開発していかねばならないことがわかった。これは、限界を知る上での必要条件であり、その意味で、研究は順調に進んでいると言えるが、一方で、指標として何を持ってくるかによってその限界の意味が異なってくるため、慎重に検討していかねばならない。
村田は、本研究により、時空局在応答によりバルク時空計量の読み取りが可能となることが示唆されており、これを活用した重力双対の有無を検証するプロトコルの構築が進んでいる。これまでの研究は概ね計画通りに進捗している。
吉田は、論文自体は2024年7月にarXIvに投稿しているが、レフリーとのやりとりが現在も続いている。議論の内容は非常にポジティブなもので、理論の詳細が更に深められている。
古郡は、昨年度提案した新しい辞書による天球ホログラフィーの解析については、あまり進んでいない。一方、共同研究者との議論によって近年盛んに研究されているdS/CFT対応と天球ホログラフィー対応の関係の理解が進んでいる。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

上述のように、本研究の中途で、新しいバルク指標、すなわち、時空局在したモードがバルクを伝達しうるという描像が得られたため、これらを含むような一般のバルク対応があり得ることを念頭に、AdS/CFT対応の限界について、研究を進めていく。特に、機械学習における対称性との関係をより深めることで、また機械学習と量子系との対応の研究を深めることで、ホログラフィックな対応の限界を知る手掛かりになるかを調べていく。
特に村田は、ホログラフィック双対が期待されるスピン系や高温超伝導体を対象に、本手法の応用を進める。臨界点付近での時空局在応答を通じて、量子ブラックホール時空の実験的検出を目指すとともに、有限温度効果を取り入れた線形応答解析も視野に入れている。
また吉田は、拡張した4D Chern-Simons理論から、一般化されたTTbar変形をした弦理論を構築し、バルク再構成のシナリオに対する理解を深める。
古郡は、引き続き議論を続けていき、まずはdS/CFT対応と天球ホログラフィー対応の関係について論文にまとめることを目指す。新しい辞書による天球ホログラフィーの解析についても、従来の辞書に基づいた研究を参考にして進めていく。
