Outline of Research at the Start

系外惑星の多様性の起源を探るには、原始惑星系円盤で誕生しつつある惑星を検出し、惑星と円盤の力学的相互作用、そして円盤の基本的な物理構造とともに惑星系のアセンブリを理解する必要がある。本研究計画では、惑星によって円盤ガスの速度構造に局所的な特徴が表れる点に着目し、ガスの運動を精密に測定する手法で、原始惑星系円盤に埋もれた惑星の検出に取り組む。そのために電波干渉計ALMAで高解像度かつ高速度分解能のサブミリ波観測を実施する。円盤ガスの3次元速度構造にもとづいて生まれたての惑星を検出するだけでなく、原始惑星系円盤の力学的な詳細構造をこれまでで最も包括的に明らかにする。
