Outline of Research at the Start

しばしば集中豪雨をもたらす線状降水帯の停滞・維持メカニズムは、気象学上・防災上の重要性にもかかわらず依然未解明で残されている。本
研究では、長期間の気象庁解析雨量データから抽出した線状降水帯事例と客観解析データをもとにしたコンポジット解析により、線状降水帯を
生ずる総観規模擾乱の環境場と構造、線状降水帯に至る階層構造並びに線状降水帯のメソスケール環境場を解明する。さらに、コンポジット解
析で得られた総観場を初期値・境界値とした数値実験や感度実験・アンサンブル実験による感度解析、理想化数値実験など、多様な数値実験を
通して線状降水帯の停滞・維持メカニズムを解明し、予報可能性の検討を行う。
