Outline of Research at the Start

小型の液体ロケットエンジンでは液体状態のフィルム冷却が使用され，3000Kを超える燃焼ガスから壁面を守っている．フィルム冷却は壁面を守る一方，一部燃焼に寄与せず排出されるため推力性能を下げてしまう．そのため冷却性能と推力性能はトレードオフ関係となっている．これを燃焼試験で最適化することは膨大なコストがかかるため，理論や数値解析による冷却の最適化が求められている．
本研究では，フィルム冷却の重要現象として乱流熱伝達による蒸発の他，流体力学的不安定性に起因する3次元構造及びフィルム先端における沸騰に着目することで，ドライアウトする長さを決定する現象を理解し，フィルム長さを予測するモデル式を開発する．
