Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、半導体レーザの極限性能、即ち光の振動周波数（数百THz）程度までの極限的周波数応答を実現するための基礎検討を進め、将来の100Tb/s超直接変調のための基礎技術確立を目指すものである。
AIやIoT技術などの進展を背景に、小型携帯端末等における超高速伝送、特にTb/sを超える超高速伝送が将来必要になると予測され、ボード内配線の超高速伝送技術として、半導体レーザ光による光通信技術適用が期待されている。本提案は、本質的理論限界に到達するための基礎研究を行うものである。
