Outline of Research at the Start

漁業が重要な産業である我が国においては、新たな海域利用を展開する際に魚類の分布や資源量への影響は重要であり、そのための手法の開発は喫緊の課題である。そこで、人工構造物周辺の魚類の行動、および海域利用の変化が魚類分布の変動や資源量に与える影響を把握・評価する手法を高度化する。人工構造物周辺のスケールと、湾灘スケールの双方において、それぞれの目的に応じたモニタリング手法によって魚類の動態およびそれに影響を与える因子との関係を把握する。それに基づいて、物理環境や水質、餌環境等も考慮した魚類動態モデルを高度化し、海洋エネルギー施設を考慮したシミュレーションを行いその影響を評価する。
