Outline of Research at the Start

航空交通業務等のさまざまなオペレーションタスクを想定し、タスク要求や作業条件の変化などの外乱に、作業チームが適切、適応的に対処する際のチーム協調行動の背後にあるチームメタ認知(チーム協調行動を生起する内発的理由・機構、いわゆるメタ認知的技能とそのためのメタ認知的モニタリング)と各チーム成員の認知行動特徴を参加者実験と計算機シミュレーションの双方から解明すること、および、そのために必要な実験・シミュレーション技術の開発を目的とする。

Outline of Final Research Achievements

This study has investigated the cognitive mechanisms, specifically team cognition and team metacognition, that enable situationally adaptive behavior during team collaboration, through experiments and computer simulations. Building on a theoretical model of team cognition, we identified key characteristics of metacognition during teamwork, and developed experimental protocols and questionnaires.Team experiments were conducted to quantify the characteristics of team metacognition. Based on the results, we developed a computer simulation that replicates the team cognitive process. The model was validated using empirical data, and simulation experiments were conducted to explore the characteristics of team cognition. The results revealed the mechanisms underlying the emergence and correction of team errors. Additionally, the findings demonstrated that transactive memory systems contribute to efficient team collaboration and clarified the mechanisms through which this contribution occurs.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

従来研究はチームの適応行動の特徴やそれを支えるスキルに着目するものが多く、背後にある認知(チーム認知)を対象とした研究は少ない。その中で本研究は、メタ認知を対象に、その探索方法(実験・質問紙)を開発し、チームメタ認知の特徴を明らかにした。また、チーム認知を考慮したシミュレーションモデルを開発し、実験との比較検証研究を可能にした。また、実験データを基に作成した記述的モデルと理想的なチーム認知モデル(規範的モデル)の比較から得られた様々な知見は、より適応的で効率のよいチームを作り上げる上での知識基盤となるものであり、本研究の成果は様々な領域におけるチームワーク向上に寄与するものである。
