Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は、高アスペクト比の窒化物針状単結晶である窒化物ウィスカーをホストとした高熱伝導・高信頼性の新規蛍光体の開発を行うものである。具体的には、高熱伝導性と耐熱性、機械的特性を併せ持つ窒化アルミニウムウィスカーに発光元素をドープしたウィスカー蛍光体を合成し、蛍光体としての特性を明らかにする。さらに、高パワー・高輝度光源への応用展開を志向し、ウィスカー蛍光体を含む原料粉末を成形・焼結させることで、異方性も含めた熱伝導性や機械的特性、蛍光特性の制御・向上が実現された焼結蛍光体の開発を行う。
