Outline of Research at the Start

複雑な細胞集団から，目的の細胞を正確かつ効率的に分離・精製するために，「高密度かつ3次元的に微細孔を形成した多孔性基材を統合したマイクロ流体デバイス」という新規装置を開発する。具体的には，細胞と同程度の3次元的な微細孔を接続したマイクロ流路構造を形成する新しい手法を提案し，細胞をサイズ・表面マーカー・接着性などによって分離する。そして，血中の疾患マーカー細胞や移植医療用の幹細胞の分離を実証し，その機能解析および医療応用の可能性を検証する。
