Outline of Research at the Start

本研究課題では、集合化能を有する荷電π電子系を設計・合成し、その規則配列の形成および制御に挑戦し、多次元組織化による電子機能材料の創製をめざす。有機合成および超分子化学を基軸に研究を実施し、また集合化形態の評価には分光的手法や理論計算を駆使し、さらに物性物理の理解もふまえて、荷電π電子系にはたらく相互作用と配列構造および電子物性の相関を解明し、新たな材料設計指針の構築をめざす。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究課題では、集合化能を有する荷電π電子系を設計・合成し、イオンペア集合体の形成および集合化形態(電荷積層型・電荷種分離配置型)の制御に挑戦した。本年度は、新たな物性・機能性の発現が期待される構造・電子的に最適化された電荷種(イオン)を設計・合成し、その間にはたらく相互作用を制御することで、電子機能性材料への展開がなされている非荷電型π電子系を凌駕した電子・光機能マテリアルへの展開を実施した(総説:Responsive Mater. 2023; Chem. Soc. Rev. 2023)。アニオン応答性π電子系としてジピロリルジケトンPt(II)錯体を展開し、π共役の伸長(Sci. Technol. Adv. Mater. 2024)や、配位ユニット(アリールピリジン)に依存した電子・光物性の変調、さらに脂溶性カチオンとのアニオン会合体の交互積層による固体りん光発光材料の創製を実現した(Chem. Sci. 2024)。金属イオンの電荷を部分補償した荷電π電子系としてらせん状Au(III)錯体を合成し、イオンペア集合化を検証した(Org. Lett. 2023)。脱プロトン化アニオンの原料ユニットとして、β位にフルオロ基を導入したピロールのα位へのボロン酸エステルの導入に成功した(Chem. Lett. 2023)。また、脱プロトン化されたアニオン部位のカルコゲン結合による安定化を明らかにした(Org. Lett. 2023)。

Reason

荷電π電子系からなる集合体の構成ユニットの形成・集合化手法を開拓し、アニオン応答性π電子系の規則配列による発光挙動の制御、らせん状荷電π電子系のイオンペア集積化など、物性・機能性発現の基礎となる研究が実施できた。このように、多次元組織化へとつながる荷電π電子系(イオンペア)の開発、規則配列化を実現することができたため。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

電荷を付与したπ電子系骨格の設計・合成、周辺修飾・誘導体の合成、集合化に関わる手法の開拓・最適化、さらに得られたイオンペア集合体(材料)の物性・機能性の評価を、共同研究も含めて継続して実施する。
