Outline of Research at the Start

電気化学的二酸化炭素還元反応は、再生可能エネルギーを用いたCO2の再資源化の手法として注目されている。本研究では、多電子還元生成物を生成しうると報告されている銅触媒に単原子状からクラスター状へと形態が制御されている異種金属を担持することで反応中間体の吸着エネルギーを制御し、高い電流効率での多電子還元生成物の生成を達成する。第一原理計算や放射光による反応メカニズム解析の結果を適宜フィードバックすることで、さらなる高活性化を図る。
